The Miracle Babies

10 days ago ProMed Staffing Resources Vice President Maria Bingeman, celebrated her son’s birthday…. all three of them. Triplets. The “miracle babies” as they were called, were born Christmas day 1976.

As a young mom in suburban Rochester triplets weren’t easy; it took hours to get them all fed, washed, ready to leave the house, and in to day care. After that it was time for Maria to start her official work day.

The local and national media covered their birth because not only were they born on Christmas, but they were also “bicentennial babies” but after a while the excitement wore off and they moved on to a new story. Leaving Maria to figure out how to function inside the mountain of responsibility that comes with any new baby now multiplied by three. When asked how she ever managed, not just to take care of triplets but to still get up and go to work every day, her response is obvious, “I knew I wanted a career” and she succeeded. Her tenure as the Vice President of ProMed has been immeasurably successful, bringing the kind of innovation, creativity, efficiency, and business savvy you only learn when you’ve had to build your world yourself.

Cultivating a relationship with her employees based on kindness and respect, ProMed has become something more than just a staffing agency under her watch, it’s become a ‘people first’ place where anyone can live up to their potential and create for themselves the life, and the career, that used to feel impossible.
